5/23 – THE POOL IS NOW OPEN! Check the pool image above to see if it’s open each day, it may be closed due to weather (it should be updated by noon each day).   Don’t forget to sign the Pool Agreement so you can swim. Copies available in the Lodge or you can print one here. The pool deck is open for lounging during Lodge hours. Tables, umbrellas, and chairs were set up thanks to the volunteer efforts of many residents.

5/23 – SUMMER CONCERTS  – join your neighbors at the hot dog cookouts/summer concerts at the pool this summer sponsored by the Community Fund. Cookouts start at 5:30 p.m., followed by a concert at 6:30 p.m.  Hot dogs will be sold for $3 and potato chips for $1. The first one is June 14 w/ Soul Train. Here’s the SCHEDULE

1/22 – LODGE EXERCISE ROOM – The lower portion of the exercise room is now open to residents. Currently, we are at the mercy of the weather before vendors are able to continue efforts in remediating the cause of the condensation leak. Two attic fans will need to be installed on the roof before we can begin restoration inside of the Lodge’s indoor pool and exercise room.  Residents are restricted from entering the cordoned-off area of the pool and exercise room. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

DONATIONS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCE SERVICES – The Ladies of the Lake continue to collect non-perishables in boxes in the Lodge Library. According to their recent newsletter, the two popular items they can’t seem to keep stocked well enough are canned chili and the shells and cheese style mac and cheese (ie. Velveeta brand). The shells and cheese style mac and cheese is preferred by our clients because they don’t require any other ingredients to make. For more information click HERE.

Time is running out. The drawings will be held this Sunday, July 13th at the Cookout/Concert sponsored by the Community Fund. 7/8 – GRUB CONTROL – Brightview Landscaping will be on the property Thursday, July 11 applying Turf Fertilization with Broadleaf, Thistle Application, and Merit applications for grub control. Signs will be posted where needed to alert residents. Please water your lawn after the application. At least a 1/2 inch of water is needed to help the insecticide penetrate the soil where grubs are feeding, to ensure it works properly. Watering your lawn is also required for turf fertilization. It is always good practice to water your lawn regularly, particularly during hot summer droughts to keep your lawn looking healthy and manageable.

A vendor has been contacted to schedule a repair in the area – thank you for your patience – Avenbury Board.

7/6 – OUTDOOR POOL – The outdoor pool is open. Remember to sign the Pool Agreement (link HERE or copies are in the Lodge), purchase guest passes ahead of time (6 guests per household, please), and sign the daily attendance sheet posted near the entry gate. Summer’s here!
